Let’s Talk About Guests Baby!

9 Fun Things In Our Guest Room

Since we moved to Colorado we have had more guests than ever and I have had a blast setting up a safe place for our people to land.

I thought it would be fun to open the doors of #SprattPackHeadquarters and let you in for a bit.

Here are some of my favorite things in the guest room.

The Guest Book
This sounds strange… but I can’t wait for people to leave so I can read what they wrote. Seriously… it makes me giddy.

The guest book sign can be found here.

The Welcome Wall
It is a bunch of real life photos of us just doing life. I think the reason I love these so much is because they are not the typical photos someone would have framed and hanging on the wall in their home.

The Welcome Wall Sign
The sign gives the check in location for our home and our Spratt Pack hashtag.

The Snack/Supply Basket
A basket full of crap just waiting for you have the late night munchies! (You are welcome.) In the basket you can also find pretty much any else you will ever need. Seriously… you will be better supplied than the last crew that went to the moon.

There are personal hygiene products, a mending kit, lint roller, and lots of water since we are higher than the mile high city… dehydration is a big deal.

And since our home is so quiet, calm, and boring… there are a few brochures, pamphlets, and a book on Littleton for your browsing pleasure.

Personal Keurig

There is a variety of coffee flavors in the drawer and if you so choose… Baileys.

WiFi Password
Our wifi password is a ridiculous and therefore requires a sign. I am married to an engineer who has government clearances and works on top secret programs… defend and protect — it’s what he does and there is good reason that my side of the family calls our house Fort Spratt.

Fresh Flowers
I just looooove fresh flowers. They radiate such joy so I try to place them in a couple sweet places around the bedroom and bathroom.

Bathroom Basics
My bathroom basics are not that special… just your standard shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash and course there are fresh towels and washcloths. (But as a hair farmer… I try to make sure there are good quality products stocked for you. The struggle is real.) There is also a hair dryer under the sink.

And finally…

The Pick Up Kit
When I get to pick guests up at the airport I try to greet them with the essentials… water and protein.

Well, there you have it! Our guest room in a nutshell!

Who needs to make a reservation?
We’ll leave the light on for you…

  1. I have stayed in said guest room, so I can attest to the quality of the mattress and sheets…They are both divine! Semi-firm mattress…not too hard, not too soft. And just the right softness for the sheets. The space is beautifully decorated and smells nice, and if you so choose, a soft robe for your late night enjoyment 🙂
Christen has a gift of making her guests feel loved and cared for, complete with advice for exploring colorful Colorado.
The only thing she is missing- is a tip jar!! 😉

    • I would be leery of the “tips” that were left… Parenting tips, cleaning tips, marital tips, etc.

  2. It is a very welcoming retreat! Even in a home with 4 kids! I think they have strict instructions not to disturb guests. But if they are already a little “disturb” (like I am!), the company is delightful! Thanks for a wonderful, albeit short, visit! Hope to see you soon!
